Trends that entrepreneurs should pay attention to in 2018

Indeed, National Small Business Month is not here yet, but it does not mean that entrepreneurs should wait before planning their marketing and branding strategies for 2018. In fact, January is the ideal time to review and explore options because the new year is just starting.

Now more than ever, social media is an important vehicle for getting a message across to consumers and establishing a brand to inspire conversion. This post will highlight a few things entrepreneurs should consider. 

Buzz-worthy branding – It’s no secret that some legacy brands are losing ground to emerging companies in a number of sectors. Because of this, entrepreneurs should be concerned with how to measure how quickly consumers talk about their product or service.

Reading the room – As we can see from our president’s Twitter posts, sometimes it is best to learn more about a situation before firing off a message on a social media platform. With that, it is important for growing companies to have a firm command of what their consumers are looking for and what can turn them off.

The “unboxing” experience – For direct-to-consumer startup companies, building a strong relationship with the customer doesn’t end with providing a quality product. How a consumer gets to the product after it is delivered is equally as important. So a design process that maximizes the customer’s experience is important.
